Van Nuys, California - American tuning shop Galpin has joined up with the US Air Force to produce two modified showcars inspired by the styling of a jet fighter. The aim of the outlandish machines which hail from Van Nuys in California is to highlight the technical and career opportunities available with the Air Force.
Galpin has transformed a stock Ford Mustang into a white creation called the X1 complete with single fighter-jet seats front and centre surrounded by screens and other jet-type controls.
A Dodge Challenger has been given a similar makeover, including head-up displays which can show night and thermal vision images. The car is finished in matt black and carries the name Vapor. Both vehicles boast tuned engines. Galpin is best known for transforming cars shown in the MTV Pimp My Ride show.
