Hamburg - Visitors to Sweden in August will have the chance to see three major cultural festivals within the space of 11 days. The cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo have all decided to celebrate their festivals within this short period of time.
Between the three events there will be over 2,000 concerts, shows and performances ranging from handicrafts, to blues, jazz, Mexican pop, ballet, theatre and fashion.
Stockholm's culture festival kicks off on August 11 and runs for five days. The theme of this year's event is Finland. Almost all of the events taking place in the Swedish capital are free.
Gothenburg is also celebrating from August 11 to 16 while Malmo gets cultural from August 14 to 21. Malmo's festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary, making it the oldest of its kind in Sweden.
