Schwarzenbek, Germany - Two people died and 11 were injured in a coach accident on a motorway in northern Germany on Friday. The bus, travelling from Poland to Hamburg, drove into a ditch at the side of the A24 motorway, just 40 kilometres east of its final destination.
The cause of the accident was unclear, police said.
The driver of the coach, carrying 28 people, survived the accident in a state of serious shock.
The motorway was closed off in the direction towards Hamburg, and around 100 emergency staff worked to clear the scene of the crash.
