Rome - Argentine midfielder Cristian Ledesma has followed the path of Macedonia's Goran Pandev in his decision to leave Serie A side Lazio and seek a contract with a more prestigious club, the ANSA newsagency reported Monday. "We agreed with (Lazio president Claudio) Lotito that 15 million (euros, or 20.8 million dollars) will be asked," football agent Vincenzo D'Ippolito said.
"But also that everything will be done to facilitate the transfer. Lazio offered (Ledesma) a top-player raise, more or less the same as was made to Pandev, which was about 1.5 million euros.
"But Ledesma, like Pandev, wants to leave and have further challenges somewhere else."
D'Ippolito said that champions Inter Milan and Juventus, as well as two Spanish sides, are keen on Ledesma, 26.
The Argentine played three seasons with the Rome side after five at Lecce. He holds an Italian passport, but this year opted to play with the Argentinian national team as coach Diego Maradona called him for a friendly with France.
Pandev, 25, said earlier this month that he wants to leave Lazio after five seasons.
