Asuncion - Chile confirmed their good form Saturday with a 2-0 away win against Paraguay, so far the lone leader of the South American qualifiers towards the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Matiias Fernandez put the visitors ahead in Asuncion just 13 minutes into the game, while a header from Humberto Suazo set the definitive 2-0 in the 52nd minute.
The result brought Paraguay - who have only one point from their last three games - down from the top of the qualifiers table. They now have 24 points from 13 games, the same as Brazil who have a better goal difference.
Moreover, the two sides are set to clash Wednesday in the northeastern Brazilian city of Recife in the 14th round of the qualifiers.
