Bangkok - US actor David Carradine was found hanged in a Bangkok hotel suite Thursday in what police believe was a suicide, media reports said. The body of Carradine, 72, who first shot to fame in the Kung Fu television series, was found in the closet of his suite at the five-star Park Nai Lert Hotel, The Nation online news service reported.
Carradine was in Bangkok shooting a film. Colleagues became concerned when he failed to show up for a dinner Wednesday night and they could not reach him by telephone in his room.
A hotel maid found his body in the morning while cleaning his room, The Nation reported.
A police investigation showed that he had hung himself with cord used for curtains, the newspaper said.
Officers found no signs of an assault.
Carradine recently starred in Quentin Tarantino's two-part movie Kill Bill. His first major role was as the fugitive half-Chinese Shaolin monk Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s TV drama Kung Fu.
