Sarajevo - A Bosnian man who killed six people in a shooting spree a year ago was on Tuesday sentenced to 40 years in prison, media reports said. The court in the northern town of Tuzla had earlier convicted Tomislav Petrovic, 46, of murder. He had opened fire on his neighbours and bus passengers in Lipnica settlement near Tuzla,
Experts testified at the trial that Petrovic suffered from depression, psychosis and paranoid schizophrenia but that he was conscious of his actions at the time of the attack.
In May 2008, Petrovic gunned down three neighbours before boarding a local bus and shooting dead three more people. The bus driver was badly injured. Petrovic then walked through the settlement and randomly fired at parked cars and houses.
