Los Angeles - Crooner Chris Brown has finally broken his silence about his alleged assault of former girlfriend Rihanna, telling fans that he "ain't a monster."Speaking on a video posted on YouTube.com three months after his February arrest, the R&B star also revealed new details about about his upcoming album.
"I just wanna say 'What up?' because I ain't been out there in a minute," says Brown. "New album will be coming soon. We are working on it right now. Called Graffiti. Got everything on it, know what I'm saying? I'll be ready for that. I'm about to drop a single this summer for y'all. So we ain't going nowhere."
Apparently alluding to the charges he is facing over the alleged assault of Rihanna, Brown said: "Everybody that's haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love you all. I ain't a monster."

Al Pacino in talks for Dr Death movie =
Los Angeles - Al Pacino is in talks to star in "You Don't Know Jack," a movie about Jack Kevorkian, the infamous advocate of doctor-assisted suicide who is also known as Dr Death, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Kevorkian, 81, assisted in more than 150 cases of suicide. After numerous court battles he was finally convicted of second-degree murder in 1999 after he videotaped a procedure for a terminally ill man and sent the tape to the broadcast news show "60 Minutes." He was given a 10- to 25-year sentence, but was paroled last June after serving just over eight years.
The movie will be made by cable TV powerhouse HBO Films and will be directed by Barry Levinson (Good Morning Vietnam, Rain Man.) The film will follow Kevorkian as he builds his "Mercy Machine," conducts his first assisted suicide, and starts a media frenzy with his epic legal battles defending a patient's right to die.

Broadway theaters post record profits =
New York - Broadway theaters posted record ticket sales in the 2008/09 season that ended this weekend, selling 12.15 million tickets for a total of 943.3 million dollars, the Broadway League said Wednesday.
"As we have proven, if you put on a great show, people will come - even in the midst of an economic downturn," Broadway League Executive Director Charlotte St. Martin said in a statement. "Research has shown that theater provides escape from everyday life and especially during these tough times, we have given the audiences a reason to see a show."
The season saw the opening of 43 new shows, the highest number since the 1982/83 season, including popular revivals of classic musicals Hair and West Side Story which have been among the biggest hits of the season.
The tally was released less than two weeks before the Tony Awards are presented on June 7. Billy Elliot, The Musical, is the hot favourite with 15 nominations.

Natalie Cole recovering from kidney transplant =
Los Angeles - Singing legend Natalie Cole, 59, has been released from hospital less than a week after receiving a kidney transplant, E Online reported Wednesday.
Cole underwent the life-saving operation last Tuesday at Cedars- Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Tragically she lost her sister Carol "Cookie" Cole to lung cancer on the same day.
"She is doing well under the circumstances," her representative, Maureen O'Connor, said. Cookie died at age 64 after being diagnosed with lung cancer only the week before.
Natalie Cole, who had been undergoing dialysis since a hospitalization last fall due to complications from treatment for hepatitis C, attended a private family memorial service for Cookie on Monday and plans to spend the next three months recovering before resuming a concert tour in support of her latest CD, Still Unforgettable, her representative said.
