Scirocco with 170 hp diesel engine

Wolfsburg, Germany - Volkswagen has announced that the Scirocco is immediately available with the car maker's most powerful four cylinder 125 kW/170 hp diesel engine, giving customers the choice between three TSI petrol units and two TDI diesel engines. The latest addition has a top speed of 222 km/h with a fuel consumption listed at only 5.3 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres. The transmission is either a manual six-gear or the six-level DSG. In addition the Scirocco interior options include two leather choices in black and corn silk beige and black/nougat carrying the "Volkswagen Individual" label. The price in Germany is listed at 26,550 euros (35,564 dollars).
