Kabul - No US soldiers were killed in a Saturday suicide bomb attack near to the German embassy and a US military compound in Kabul, contrary to initial reports, a spokeswoman for the US-led NATO coalition has said. Initial reports said that two US soldiers had been among the four dead in the attack, in which 35 others were injured.
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Taliban, who had said that eight US soldiers had been killed.
Sources in the German foreign ministry in Berlin said that several of its employees had been injured in the blast.
