London - Holders Portsmouth and fellow Premier League side West Bromwich Albion both reached the fourth round of the English FA Cup after comfortable victories Tuesday in their third-round replays. Portsmouth won 2-0 at Bristol City, while West Brom, bottom of the Premier League, won by the same score at Peterborough.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley, Millwall, Swansea, Sheffield United and Charlton Athletic all advanced, while Cheltenham Town and Doncaster Rovers will have to replay after a goalless draw.

Goals from Peter Crouch and Niko Kranjcar gave holders Portsmouth a 2-0 win at Bristol City.

Portsmouth goalkeeper David James had to make a string of superb saves, though, including a late penalty stop from Nicky Maynard.

Portsmouth will now play Swansea City, who won 2-1 at non-league Histon.

West Brom reached the fourth round with a convincing win at Peterborough, thanks to goals from Jay Simpson and Paul Robinson.
