Munich - Bayern Munich players Franck Ribery and Hamit Altintop made a visit to the holy city of Mecca, the club said on its website Tuesday. Munich played a friendly against Al Wheda in Saudi Arabia on Monday and the two practising muslims made the 70-kilometre trip to Mecca after playing for one half in the friendly. The French international Ribery and Turkey's Altintop rejoined their team-mates well after midnight - dressed in pilgrims' clothes. The team then returned to Germany from a 10-day training camp in the Middle East in preparation for the second round of the Bundesliga season.
