Los Angeles - Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen is offering free downloads of some of his greatest hits over the video game Guitar Hero and through the website Amazon.com. Springsteen, who is also likely to perform in the inaugural festivities for president-elect Barack Obama, is set to offer free downloads of My Lucky Day and Born To Run via a selection of video games, including Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii versions of Guitar Hero: World Tour, to celebrate the release of his new album Working On A Dream.
The downloads will be available for free during a limited period from the album's release date of January 27 until February 4. After that they will be available for 2 dollars each.
On Tuesday, Springsteen released Life Itself, the third single from the album, on Amazon.com. It is the second track from the album that has been given away for free via Amazon following the release of the title track in November.
