Inter Milan retain Serie A lead with narrow win over Napoli

Rome - Champions Inter Milan edged visiting Napoli 2-1 in a pulsating game Sunday to extend their lead in the Serie A over AC Milan to six points ahead of their city rivals' match at Palermo later Sunday. Ivan Cordoba and Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari put Jose Mourinho's side two goals up before Argentine striker Ezequiel Lavezzi pulled one back for Napoli.

Juventus lie second, ahead of Milan on goal difference, after crushing Reggina 4-0 on Saturday while Roma continued their recovery Sunday as captain Francesco Totti scored the winner in a 1-0 win over Fiorentina and Atalanta prevailed 2-0 against Lazio.

Udinese went down 1-0 at home to bottom side Chievo and finished the game with 10 men after the dismissal of Toto Di Natale, Genoa drew 1-1 with lowly newcomers Bologna, Cagliari and Sampdoria drew 0- 0, Siena beat Torino 1-0 and Catania and Lecce drew 1-1 Saturday.
