San Francisco - Seven Canadians, including two toddlers, were killed after their vehicle plunged off an overpass and burst into flames when it hit a concrete embankment, the Denver Post reported Friday. All the occupants of the car were killed in the accident, which saw the sport utility vehicle drop more than 15 metres from interstate highway 25, about 70 kilometres north of Denver. The names of the victims were not released as Canadian authorities sought to contact their relatives. "I have been a trooper for 18 years, and this is one of the worst accidents I have ever seen," said trooper Gilbert Mares of the Colorado State Patrol. Weather does not appear to have been a factor, but investigators have not determined whether alcohol, drugs or speed could have caused the accident.
