Frankfurt - The German football federation (DFB) control panel Friday fined Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath 10,000 euros (12,750 dollars) for "unsporting behaviour" in last Saturday's 4-1 defeat of VfB Stuttgart. Referee Helmut Fleischer ordered Magath from the touchline to the stands after he had made comments to the official during the match. Meanwhile SV Hamburg said it was protesting against a 40,000-euro fine imposed after Werder Bremen captain Frank Baumann was struck on the head by a battery thrown from the crowd in last Sunday's Bundesliga match. Board member Katja Krause told Bild newspaper the fine was too high and that the club had made intensive efforts before the northern derby match to ensure there was no crowd trouble.
