Rome - Serie A strugglers Bologna Tuesday announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Cesar, who was without a contract after winning the 2008 scudetto with Inter Milan. The signing of Aparecido Cesar Rodrigues, 34, was reportedly recommended by Bologna's new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
The Serbian, 39, arrived at Bologna earlier this month. He was Cesar's teammate when both played at Lazio and then an assistant coach at Inter.
Bologna are second-from-last in the Serie A on eight points from 12 games. The northern-Italy club rejoined the top flight in the summer after three lower-division seasons.
