Dubai - A civilian US airplane made an emergency landing in western Iraq on Thursday, the Arabic television network Al-Arabiya reported, citing eyewitnesses. The Dubai-based broadcaster said the plane landed in Anbar province and at some point south of the city of Fallujah, a bastion of Iraqi militants. It was not immediately clear whether the aircraft was a cargo plane or a passenger plane, or what the cause of the emergency landing was, the network said.
