Los Angeles - Jennifer Hudson's sister reacted Tuesday to the murders of three family members, saying that the soul of her seven-year-old son Julian King was "at ease" and that he was now an angel protecting her. Julia Hudson, who was estranged from the former convict who police are holding as a person of interest in the case, made the comments in a posting on her MySpace blog, days after her mother Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29, were found dead by a family member in their home.
Police late Monday confirmed that Julian King's body had been found in a car.
"Because I chose to do what was natural to me and love someone, it cost me my beautiful family. My wonderful, beautiful, loving, supporting mother Darnell, my true blue baby brother Jason, and last but never not least, my only son Julian, my innocent baby that was sheltered from all the evil in the world because we loved him so much," Hudson wrote.
"His li'l soul is at ease. I take comfort in knowing that Julian is with my mother and my brother," the post continued. "Now he's my angel. He's protecting me."
The posting came the same day that an official autopsy ruled that King had been murdered with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. The Chicago Tribune also reported that Hudson's estranged husband William Balfour had served seven years for attempted murder and had threatened to kill Hudson if the got a boyfriend. The former couple were reported to have argued recently about finances.
The singer Hudson had offered a 100,000-dollar reward over the weekend for information leading to the missing boy.
Police believe the three were slain in a family argument.
Hudson sang the US national anthem in August at the Democratic presidential nominating convention in Denver, Colorado. Democratic nominee Barack Obama and wife Michelle, who live in Chicago, have sent her condolences.
Just weeks ago, the singer, who became famous on the singing talent competition American Idol, released her self-titled debut album. She won an Academy Award in 2007 for her role in Dreamgirls.
