London - The Egyptian millionaire owner of the Harrods department store in London, Mohamed al-Fayed, has been questioned by police over allegations of sexual assault, British media reports said Wednesday. They said the 75-year-old father of the late Princess Diana's friend, Dodi, had voluntarily subjected himself to questioning over reported claims that a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at business premises in central London last May.

The reports said al-Fayed had not been detained. They quoted police as confirming that a man had been questioned in the case, but the police declined to identify him.

Al-Fayed has long maintained that the death of his son and Princess Diana in a car crash in Paris in 1997 was not an accident but the result of a conspiracy involving British royal family members.

Convenient Timing

Sounds like a smear job to me - PR agencies are working round the clock to provide their powerful clients with the diversionary stories that are so despertely needed during this time of global economic crisis (when the government has just robbed the public blind on behalf of the rich).

Add in the ingredients Muslim + child assault and it's the perfect story (hot on the heels of the 'Islamic terrorists and paedophiles unite' rubbish from Murdoch's cronies).

He will be cleared of all charges but the damage will be done all in the name of creating a diversion, and smearing a high profile (outspoken)Muslim, and passing yet more Big Brother legislation.
