Belgrade - Belgrade football club Red Star have sacked their coach Czech Zdenek Zeman after a series of poor results, Serbian media reported on Sunday. "We have parted with Zeman in an gentleman-like manner," Red Star's interim president, Dobrivoje Tanasijevic, told SOS television. "We'll find a replacement in the next two-to-three weeks."
Zeman joined the club in June.
A panel led by Tanasijevic took over Red Star's management last week when the board resigned after the team lost to APOEL Nicosia in the UEFA Cup qualifications.
Red Star, which won European Cup in 1991, was eliminated from the UEFA cup and are at the bottom of the Serbian league.
