Algeciras, Spain - A wildfire on Thursday forced the evacuation of about 1,000 people from urban areas near the south- western Spanish port of Algeciras, rescuers said. More than 100 firefighters using 17 aircraft or helicopters were trying to contain the flames, which devastated 150 hectares of scrub, including parts of a nature park.
