London - Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, French First Lady and ballad chanteuse, is to appear with US heavy metal band Metallica in a live television show on the BBC. A joint performance has not been ruled out. The former model has been invited along with the US rock group, to be a guest on the BBC2 show "Later with Jools Holland." Bruni is due to perform songs from her new album "Comme si de rien n'etait" ("As if nothing happened"). Metallica are also to present new material from their most recent release "Death Magnetic," according to staff on the program. Tradition on the Jools Holland show is that guests play together in an ensemble after the opening credits.
