Officials confirm around 25 survivors of Kyrgyz crash - 2nd Update

Bishkek/Moscow - Kyrgyz officials could only confirm around 25 survivors so far of the 123 passengers and crew aboard an airliner that crashed near the country's capital Bishkek on Sunday. Ambulances took the survivors to hospitals in the capital Bishkek, aviation authorities said, according to the Interfax news agency. There were no initial estimates of the number of people killed when the airliner, which had been en route from Bishkek to Iran, crashed about 5 kilometres outside the capital city. No details as to the airline flying the plane was yet known.
