Asus introduces notebooks with Turion technologyRatingen; Germany - Asus plans to introduce two new laptops running on AMD's Turion chip technology in August.

The M51TA-AP009C model has a 2 gigahertz Turion 64 X2 dual core processor, while the M51TA-AS008C runs on a 2.2 gigahertz Ultra Turion 64 X2 dual core processor. Both use a 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 graphics card and come with a 15.4 inch display capable of resolutions ranging between 1,280X800 and 1,440X900 pixels. The laptops cost 849 euros (1,320 dollars) and 999 euros (1,554 dollars) respectively. ---

Hirschmann offers new HDTV receiver

Pliezhausen, Germany - Hirschmann is offering a new satellite HDTV receiver. The S-HD 910 supports DVB-S and DVB-S2 standards and connects to a hard drive via a USB 2.0 connection. It also comes with two common interface connections for encrypted signals. The S-HD-910 costs 339 euros (527 dollars). ---

Toshiba offers new HD camcorder

Neuss, Germany - Toshiba is expanding its offer of digital camcorders with its new Camileo H10 model, which comes with full HD resolution and 5 x optical zoom. The camcorder can be connectedto an HD-ready television via a HDMI slot. Weighing 340 grams, the Camileo H10 costs 219 euros (340 dollars).
