London - British soul singer Amy Winehouse was discharged from hospital Tuesday after receiving overnight emergency treatment for a reaction to "medication," a spokesman for London's University College Hospital said. An ambulance was called to the 24-year-old's house in Camden, north London, Monday evening. The singer (Back to Black, Rehab) has been battling health problems and drug addiction.

The jailing to 27 months of her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, for trial fixing over a pub brawl has added to her stress, according to her family.
