Oslo - Norwegian conservationists have persuaded the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Mark Knopfler, Elvis Costello and Emmylou Harris to participate on a cd in aid of the Norwegian wolf population, reports said Tuesday. On the CD, Springsteen sings the track Everything I Do (Leads Me Back To You) with Elliot Murphy, Oslo daily Aftenposten reported. The opening track Birds of Paradise features Roger Waters' guitarist Terence Charles "Snowy" White. The proceeds from the CD Mother Earth Blues Vol. 1 - the brainchild of Dag Waerner of the environmental group Green Warriors of Norway - will support conservation efforts for wolves and other large carnivores in the country.
