Nagpur, Jan 19 The West Indies team led by Brian Lara arrived here Friday from Mumbai amid tight security for the first one-day international to be played here Sunday.Elaborate security arrangements have been made at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium for the visitors and the home side.Police have installed 16 security cameras and have also set up a control room in the stadium to monitor the crowd, said zonal deputy police commissioner Amitesh Kumar.Briefing about the security measures, Kumar said over 1,000 police personnel would be deployed at the venue along with 100 sub-inspectors, 25 inspectors, eight assistant commissioners and three deputy commissioners for the match.The spectators will not be allowed to carry cigarettes, lighters, matchboxes, audio-video recording equipments, walkie-talkies, transistors, cameras, pocket radio, tape recorders and crackers besides cold drinks and plastic bottles inside the stadium, he said.The West Indies emerged victorious in the last one-day match they played against India at the same venue in 2002.The other matches of the current four-match series will be played at Cuttack (Jan 24), Chennai (Jan 27) and Baroda (Jan 31).
