Oil hits record high near $146

LONDON (Reuters) - Oil jumped almost 3 percent to a record high near $146 a barrel on Friday, boosted by concern of threats to supplies from major oil exporters Iran and Nigeria.

LONDON (Reuters) - Oil jumped almost 3 percent to a record high near $146 a barrel on Friday, boosted by concern of threats to supplies from major oil exporters Iran and Nigeria.

U.S. crude rose as high as $145.98, having surpassed the previous record high of $145.85 as of 6:57 a.m. EDT.
