Singapore - Two stuffed toys on the back seat of a Malaysian-registered car aroused the suspicion of a customs officer on finding they were not as soft and cuddly as they looked, officials said on Tuesday. During a routine check, the officer and a colleague found four bundles hidden inside, containing 1,400 Erimin 5 tranquilizer tablets, 150 grams of ketamine and 30 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The two 23-year-old Malaysian women in the vehicle stopped at the Woodlands checkpoint denied owning the drugs. The case was referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau. The women each face at least five years in jail if convicted, the bureau said.
