Baghdad - Two gunmen and one policeman were killed west of Mosul, while an Anbar province security handover was postponed for the third time, an Iraqi security source said on Thursday. "Two gunmen and one policeman were killed when unknown gunmen, in two cars, attacked an Iraqi checkpoint in the northern Nineveh province," said the source. Another policeman was severely injured and a police car was damaged.

The Anbar governor's office meanwhile told reporters that the planned security handover of the western province was postponed until items in agreement between US and Iraqi sides had been changed.

The handover of the Sunni province had already been delayed twice owing to bad weather. No new date was set.
