London - Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue was Thursday honoured for a "lifetime of music making" at a glittering ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London. Minogue, 40, smiled broadly as she received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) award from Prince Charles with whom she had a relaxed chat during the brief ceremony.
The singer, who battled breast cancer three years ago, looked radiant in a shimmering cream-coloured dress decorated with large stars and gold high-heeled sandals.
When she first found out that she would be given the honour last December, she said: "I feel deeply touched to be acknowledged by the UK, my adopted home, in this way."
In May, she received the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government for "contribution to the enrichment of French culture."
