Mexico City - An armed gang killed four people and set fire to homes in the village of El Pozo, in the northwestern Mexican state of Sinaloa, the public prosecutor's office said Thursday. The gang shot indiscriminately around the village late Wednesday, using rifles, machine-guns and grenade-launchers.
The four dead were male, including a 14-year-old boy. Some reports said the two people were kidnapped.
Drug cartels are strong in Sinaloa. In late March, some 50 armed attackers arrived in El Pozo in similar fashion and also killed four people.
