Washington - Neil Entwistle, 29, of Britain, Wednesday was found guilty Wednesday of killing his American wife and baby daughter in 2006. In broadcast images on CNN, Entwistle kept a calm visage and a near smile on his face as the jury verdict was read in a court outside Boston.
The crime provoked such public emotion that Entwistle was brought to court in his first appearances in 2006 wearing a bullet proof vest and chain shackles around his ankles.
Entwistle was arrested in Britain and later extradited on charges of shooting his American wife, Rachel, in the head before turning his handgun on his nine-month-old daughter Lilian at their home in Hopkington, Massachusetts.
Entwistle fled to England a day after the pair was shot as they lay in bed on a January morning in 2006.
He faces life in prison with no possibility of parole.
