Crewe, England - Bentley is giving the Continental Flying Spur a makeover with a more upright grille and lower air intakes to the front and sleeker rear bumpers. In addition the new Flying Spur can be ordered with follow-to-stop Adaptive Cruise Control which monitors traffic ahead, managing the throttle and brakes to maintain a pre-set time gap up to a driver- selected speed.

It will also be offered with the option of what Bentley describes as "the world's best in-car-sound stage" designed by the British hi- fi manufacturer Naim featuring 1,100 Watt amplifier and next- generation digital signal processor.

The suspension features revised spring, anti-roll bar and damper settings and new bespoke 19-inch UHP tyres for better ride quality and comfort.

A new addition to the range is the Continental Flying Spur Speed with a 12-cylinder 449 kW/610 hp engine compared to the 412 kW/560 hp motor for the basic model.

Bentley lists acceleration for the Flying Spur Speed from zero to 100 kilometres an hour at 4.8 seconds and the top speed at 322 km/h. The ride height has been lowered by 10 mm for improved roadholding.
