Madrid - Mallorca have reached an agreement with fellow- Spanish football club Sevilla to sell left-back Fernando Navarro to the Andalusians, the Marca sports daily said on its website on Friday. Marca said that Sevilla will pay 4.7 million euros (7.26 million dollars) to Mallorca for the international defender, plus veteran midfielder Jose Luis Marti.

Marti, 33, will join Mallorca after being loaned out by Sevilla to second division Real Sociedad.

Navarro is currently part of the Spain squad at Euro 2008, as reserve left-back to Joan Capdevila. Therefore, Sevilla will not present him to the media as a new signing until after the tournament.

Sevilla - who finished fifth in La Liga last season - have been looking for a quality left-back since Antonio Puerta died after a massive heart attack in August.

Navarro, 25, started his career at Barcelona and soon caught eye with his surges down the left. However, his time at Barca was ruined by injury and in 2005 he left for Mallorca, where he has successfully rebuilt his career.
