Madrid - Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon said Thursday that she did not support the election of Hillary Clinton as vice-president of the United States. The way that likely Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama had carried out his campaign "shows what kind of a president he would be: someone who listens, has curiosity and travels," defending a dialogue instead of responding with threats to the rest of the world, Sarandon said in Madrid.
The actress was visiting the Spanish capital to promote her new movie, Emotional Arithmetic by director Paolo Barzman.
While speaking well of Obama, Sarandon expressed dislike for the possibility of Hillary Clinton running for vice-president.
"That would be hypocritical, because he is for change and she is not, she is for power," Sarandon said.
"The White House does not need a woman if she is not the adequate one," added the actress, who won an Oscar for Dead Man Walking in 1995.
