Hamburg - Goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand has been told there is no place for him in Germany's squad for next month's European Championships, a German media report said Friday. According to Bild newspaper's internet portal, coach Joachim Loew has preferred Bayer Leverkusen's uncapped Rene Adler, 23, as one of the three goalkeepers in the squad.
Loew is set to name his Euro 2008 squad later in the day.
Hildebrand, 29, who moved to Spain's Valencia from VfB Stuttgart before the season, was regarded as number two behind Jens Lehmann in the Germany goal. He was a member of the German 2006 World Cup squad.
Robert Enke, 30, of Hanover has been the third goalkeeper after breaking into the Germany squad since the World Cup.
