Hong Kong - A grieving Hong Kong mother was found hanging from the same tree her daughter killed herself from just four days earlier, police said Tuesday. Poon Siu-yin, 50, went to the spot where her 26-year-old daughter Cheung So-man had been found hanged last Thursday and killed herself, a police spokesman said. The mother's body was found by a hiker in Hong Kong's Aberdeen Country Park Monday morning. Family friends quoted by newspapers Tuesday said Poon could not come to terms with the loss of her daughter. Hong Kong has a relatively high suicide rate in global terms and experts in the city of 6.9 million say that early summer is the time of year when suicide rates tend to rise.
