Basel, Switzerland - Police used rubber bullets Saturday night as fans took to the streets of Basel following the home team's victory at St Jakob Park. FC Basel snatched Switzerland's top football trophy for the 12th time, seeing off Young Boys Berne 2:0 in the final of Saturday's Axpo Super League in front of record 38,015 crowd.
The aftermath passed off mainly peacefully until around 40 people confronted police officers, according to the Swiss wire service ATS. Officers then used rubber bullets to disperse them.
Fans were kept waiting three hours before the victorious team appeared on the balcony of the city's casino.
