Zurich - Argentina maintained first place in an unchanged top 10 of the world football rankings issued on Wednesday by the world governing body FIFA - with Brazil right on their heels. Argentina have 1,520 points for a narrow two-point advantage over Brazil, who are on 1,518. World Cup champions Italy are third on 1,396 points.
The other top 10 teams are Spain (1,323), Germany (1,264), the Czech Republic (1,244), France (1,205), European champions Greece (1,196), Portugal (1,131) and the Netherlands (1,123).
Changes can be expected in June when the Euro 2008 tournament is played. Hosts Switzerland and Austria rank 48th and 101st, respectively.
