Oslo - Former Miss Norway, Julie Ege, who appeared in the 1969 Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service, has died aged 64, reports said Wednesday. The former model won the 1962 Norwegian beauty contest that provided a springboard for an international career.
She made her film debut in 1967 and appeared in several comedies and horror movies, including Every Home Should Have One that also featured British actor Marty Feldman.
In the 1980s she trained as a care worker and in 1998 completed a three-year course for nurses.
She suffered from cancer and had a mastectomy in the 1980s, a fact she was open about - just as she was with other details in her life according to a biography she penned in 2002.
Survivors include two children, a grandchild and her partner. The funeral was due to be held May 9, the Aftenbladet newspaper said.
