Vienna - Austrian kidnap victim Natascha Kampusch, 20, offered help for former dungeon prisoner Elisabeth Fritzl and the three children imprisoned with her. Kampusch, herself incarcerated in a basement dungeon by her kidnapper for eight years, could only too well understand the situation of complete isolation, the former kidnap victim said in a statement released on Monday. Therefore she wanted to offer Fritzl, 42, financial support from the donations she received for a charity fund and the opportunity to talk. Elisabeth Fritzl was imprisoned by her own father for 24 years in a dungeon underneath the family home in Amstetten, eastern Austria. The 73-year-old sexually abused his daughter and fathered seven children with her. Three of them were imprisoned with her for all of their lives. Kampusch was abducted by technician Wolfgang Priklopil in 1998 on her way to school. She was 8 years old. In August 2006, she escaped her kidnapper, who then committed suicide.

Natascha was 10 when she was kidnapped. You first state that she is presently 20, then go on to say she was captured at age 8 in 1998, now, 10 years later she's NOT 18, she's twenty. Making her 10 in 1998. Incredible how a 30 second internet search could have provided you with the correct information for such a small article.
