NASHUA, N.H. - (Business Wire) Ektron Inc., a technology and market leader in Web content management software, announced the 2008 Ektron All Stars at Synergy, their annual customer conference in Boston, MA. The 2008 Web site of the Year was honored along with two runners-up, and 24 category winners were selected based upon their use of Ektron CMS400.NET to deliver information and services, build and connect online communities and interact with customers to grow their organizations.

Nominees were evaluated by a panel of Ektron executives who focused on how business and technical goals were met utilizing Ektron solutions. Nominated sites were also judged on how they advanced online strategies, better satisfied site visitors, produced tangible returns on investment and supported effective business processes.
After careful review of all of the 2008 nominees, The 2008 Web site of the Year Award was presented to Feld Entertainment for their Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey site, www.ringling.com. Ringling.com incorporates interactive Flash navigation and extensively used the Ektron Smart Forms to manage content and Flash videos on the site. Ektron list summary controls were also incorporated and the site was integrated with their external custom database. Runners up for the Web site of the Year were also honored, including 1st Runner up, Majestic Athletic (www.majesticathletic.com), and 2nd Runner up, National Health Service South of Tyne and Wear (an employee intranet).
