London - Britain's Queen Elizabeth II marked her 82th birthday Monday with private celebrations and a royal gun salute. She was spending the day at Windsor Castle, outside London, in the company of the Duke of Edinburgh, 86, who is recovering from a chest infection that required his hospitalization earlier this month. The queen has two birthdays - her actual birth date on April 21 and her official birthday in June, which is celebrated with the Trooping the Colour parade.
