San Francisco - An American man has made a huge pile of dough by selling the internet domain name pizza.com that he bought for just 20 dollars back in 1994. Chris Clark, 43, of Maryland accepted a 2.6 million dollar offer for the site after a week-long auction, the Baltimore Sun reported Friday.

"It's crazy, it's just crazy," said Clark, who decided to put the site up for sale after after hearing that another domain - Vodka.com - was sold for 3 million dollars in 2006.

"I thought, 'Why don't I just try to see what the level of interest is?'" Clark said. "If someone's willing to pay that much for Vodka.com, maybe there's more interest in pizza.com."

His only regret? Not buying more domain names in 1994.

"In '94, you could have just registered everything and anything," Clark said. "I think about that now, yeah."
