Amman - Jordan's largest political party, the Islamic Action Front (IAF), on Thursday urged the upcoming Arab summit in Damascus to adopt "a serious and strong" attitude against the United States which it said was involved in schemes to "foil" the Arab meeting. "The Arab leaders should send a strong message to the US administration which has been exerting hectic efforts to foil the Arab summit through its agents in the region," the IAF Deputy Secretary General Rhayyel Gharaibeh said in a statement.

He urged Arab leaders to adopt "an independent and unified Arab attitude" in support of the resistance against the Israeli and US occupation forces and the Sanaa accord between the Palestinian factions of Fatah and Hamas and against the "US meddling that fuels feuds in Lebanon".
