Munich - Jeans should not be rolled up, style experts say, as it raises the question of whether the jeans are too long or are they supposed to be that way, said image consultant Georg Stiels of Munich. However, some designers intentionally finish the inner seams of their jeans so that the seam can be worn on the outside as a special style element. Some jeans even have the rolled up part of the jeans tacked down.
When jeans are rolled up, finding a matching shoe is always important. Boots and half boots go well with turned-up jeans as do gym shoes, said Stiels. Pumps and classic shoes that go well with trouser suits are not advisable. It's an absolute no-go, said Stiels. Then the combination really appears as if the jeans are too long.
