Baghdad - Iraq's union of chambers of commerce and a trade delegation accompanying visiting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad signed a deal to promote business and investment in both countries, according to amedia report. Trade officials from both countries signed a four-point agreement to ease the movement of lorries between Iran and Iraq and secure special visas for their businessmen, Jaafar al-Hamdani, the head of Iraq's union of chambers of commerce, told the Voices of Iraq news agency.
Under the deal, Iranian and Iraqi firms will be permitted to take part in tenders and bids for projects in both countries and exchange professional and training experiences.
The deal promotes bilateral investment and cooperation in the fields of business seminars and trade fairs.
