Wellington - A 5-month-old Samoan baby born with a severely disfigured face is to get surgery in the United States after she was refused entry to New Zealand for treatment, a newspaper reported on Wednesday. Miracletina Nanai will be flown to Miami Childrens' Hospital with her parents on Monday after the US embassy in Apia, capital of the Pacific island state of Samoa, issued visas for the family, Wellington's Dominion Post reported. New Zealand immigration authorities refused entry for the girl in December, saying granting visas would give the family false hope after three specialists said surgery would not cure her. A paediatric neurosurgeon and a plastic surgeon in Miami have offered their services free, the paper said.

Only God knows what is in store for this little girl and her future. I'm thankful for the doctors here in the US that saw the potential of giving this little girl a chance in life...the chance that the New Zealand government and its doctors didn't think she deserves. This is an ethical and moral responsibility that has no boundary...and I'm appalled at the NZ government and doctors for NOT being responsible. Gook luck to the family. Our prayers go out to you. Everything will work out.

I am truly sadden by this article, for gods sake this is not about going to New Zealand and go for a good time. I'd like to know if those people in New Zealand have children or not. This is about a babys life, an innocent child who does not even know what is going on. If that was your child, wouldn't you do everything you can to save this babys life? If I was rich, I would do everything I can to help this baby and the family. Mr. & Mrs. Nanai, there are so many organization that might be able to help your baby. Another one is this doctor that comes on the show called the Dr.90210. If there is some one with connection in the U.S. can contact those people and plead your babys case, send them picture and report from doctors and see what they say. I have seen children from all over the world with disfigured eyes, nose, mouth, ears or any other limps of their body. God works in mysterious ways and I will try and see if I can find some other hospitals that can do those kinds of surgery or doctors who can help but you have to send pictures and anything else that I can show a hospital here in California and I will email it back to you. In the meantime, may god help you all.
Sincerely
another concern mother.

I'm happy to hear that Baby Miracle Tina is finally getting her surgery and also for the parents. My prayers go out to you on your surgery and I hope everything runs smoothly. I have faith in God that he will give guidance, knowledge to all the physicians and nurses. And I also pray that our Heavenly Father will give strengths to the parents in this healing process for their child. I'm also disappointed how doctors in New Zealand & Australia and the government itself denied this baby from entering their country for health reasons. And the doctors to say that surgery will not cure this baby. You fail in yourselves and you lie to the parents of this child. And I hope that doctors in the U.S. cure this baby which I truly believe they will. Ia manuia lou taotoga ia alofa le Atua ona fa'apena ona pai atu ona lima i aao o fomai ma tamaitai fomai. Ia faapena foi ona fesoasoani ia tei latou uma aemaise le aiga atoa....GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!
